Trip Details

The trip starts at the southern tip of Big Salmon Lake. The put-in is impossible to miss as it has a large dock and ramp designed to allow for larger boats. Once in Big Salmon Lake, your first leg will be to paddle almost the entire distance down Big Salmon. Towards the northern end, you will encounter an island which means it is time to turn right. You will find the portage on the far shore nestled behind another small island.

Once through the portage, you will find yourself in Labelle lake. Again, your goal is at the north end of the lake, though this particular lake is much smaller so you will find yourself portaging fairly soon.

Once through the short portage into Big Clear, you will see several cottages on the far shore as you are on the very edge of the park. Paddle north and around a big bend and make camp at your chosen campsite on the east side of the lake.
