FIND JOY IN EVERY ADVENTURE, FROM THE MINOR TO THE MIGHTY

As a child, I was an odd duck. Not because I loved adventure, plenty of kids love to climb trees and do battle with imaginary beasts. I was just stubbornly me, and no one was ever going to change that.

In everything I do, the typical path is the one that terrifies me. Normalcy is my Kryptonite. Some would say that I have a lust for making life difficult. In truth, I simply find joy in carving my own road, my way.

I was lucky enough to grow up in Alberta, spending virtually every vacation in the Canadian Rockies. I am blessed with a pair of magnificent parents who made sure that I had the opportunity to continually experience Canada's incredible paradise. As an adult, I've bounced back and forth across Canada. I spent the better part of a decade in Vancouver but have since returned to Toronto chasing adventure every step of the way.

When not out risking my life in outrageous ways, I have a career in software development. I love video games, tabletop games, and even Magic the Gathering. (I'm a geek and proud!) I am also a portrait photographer focusing on beauty, fashion, and cosplay.

For all but a rare few, the idea of frequent epic trips is insane. We have families. We have jobs. We have a life beyond foraging into the unknown. The purpose of adventure isn't to risk your life or break the bank. Adventure is about fueling the soul, experiencing peace, finding awe, pushing your limits, and discovering something new.

My focus will always be on adventure and anything that surrounds it. Politics, social justice, economics, ideology, etc have slithered their way into all aspects of life. This platform will never dip a toe into any of it, regardless of whether I agree with the narrative or not.
