Social Media is filled with wild adventurers, continually pushing themselves to the ends of the earth, chasing mighty destinations. Don't feel that unless you are trudging up Denali every weekend that your adventure is false.
I've never been and never will be Nouria Newman or Lino Lacedelli, but I have been blessed with a life filled with exploration to reasonably exciting places. I don't measure the value of my experiences next to the best adventure athletes in the world. Your experience is what you make of it, draw on these sorts of mighty figures as sources of inspiration and awe, not as a comparison to make yourself feel small.
For all but a rare few, the idea of frequent epic trips is insane. We have families. We have jobs. We have a life beyond foraging into the unknown. The purpose of adventure isn't to risk your life or break the bank. Adventure is about fueling the soul, experiencing peace, finding awe, pushing your limits, and discovering something new. All of these things are as accessible close to home as they are at the edge of the world.
This blog is an inspiration for everyday adventurers, which is why I don't hesitate to showcase even trivial trips. There is always magic to find in the story of even the smallest jaunt. Be proud of the experiences that you create.
